And Now, Vince's Uncle Roberto On How To Calculate 25th Percentile
One instance in which you'll be viewing score percentiles is when you look at school rankings to figure out whether or not you even have a shot at getting in your school of choice. Let's say you're looking at the SAT scores for the Really Prestigious School you're thinking about attending, and you find yourself staring at this information from last year's incoming freshman when you peruse their website:
25th percentile scores for incoming freshmen: 1400
75th percentile scores for incoming freshmen: 1570
What does this mean? 25th percentile means that 25% of the accepted students made a 1400 or below on the test. It also means that 75% of the accepted students scored above a 1400. 75th percentile means that 75% of the accepted students made a 1570 or below on the test and that 25% of the accepted students scored above a 1570
The percentile rank formula is: R = P / 100 (N + 1). R represents the rank order of the score. P represents the percentile rank. N represents the number of scores in the distribution.
And speaking of scores, if you're on a date while riding in my limo, please don't ask me if people have ever had sex in the back of the car. The answer is always yes. Every time. Be safe, kids!

25 Days of Hallmark Movies, Day 17: "Christmas On Honeysuckle Lane" Starring Alicia Witt
Having starred in a number of Hallmark Christmas movies (The Mistletoe Inn, Christmas List, A Snow Globe Christmas, A Very Merry Mix-Up, Christmas at Cartwright's, and I'm Not Ready For Christmas), Alicia Witt is one of the reigning actresses of the holiday cheese log genre. "Christmas On Honeysuckle Lane" is her latest entry in the scoreboard, which is probably the kindest thing I can say about it. This one was brutal– halfway through, I was hoping it was the end.
Romance Factor: 4 out of 10
Christmas Cheer: 6 out of 10
Overall Rating: 5 out of 10
Time Until First Kiss: 01:21:18

Robo Morphers: Less Than Meets The Eye
As Christmas approaches, tons of blogs and TV shows roll out their annual gift ideas sections, suggesting solar-powered foot massagers or baseball-themed golf accessories and golf-themed baseball accessories. But what most of them ignore is that kids (especially boys) still want only one thing: Transformers.
Yes, undeterred by the failure of "Transformers 2: Rise Of The Fallen" and the underwhelming overwhelming of "Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon," scores of kids still want transforming robots in their lives.

And who can blame them? Shit is awesome. The idea of a truck transforming into a fighting biped robot is almost irresistible to most male brains (except Andy Dick).

But as I was perusing the aisles of K-Mart the other day, I happened upon a cheaper alternative to the famous Autobots:

Sad, right? I felt so bad for this Endcap of Misfit Toys, that I bought three of them to examine what made them special.

Here are some quick clips of what the toys sound like:
Wow, it almost sounds as if the toymakers were too cheap to record three different sounds and just applied the same one to all three.
And... here they come! Robo Morphers: Stay assembled!
