In most of these movies, the young professional woman leaves the big city to go back to her quaint, podunk town in Bumfuck, Egypt. But for some stupid reason, in this movie, the protagonist Whitney leaves NYC for Chicago, and everyone in the script talks about New York being “the big city” as if Chicago weren’t one of the biggest cities in the country. Second City, my ass.
