Meanwhile, At the Gaslight Brewery & Restaurant...

"And here you go, folks– pardon my reach–  two triple chocolate brownies with French vanilla ice cream!"

"Yum!"

"Yes, this looks great, but he ordered this but I ordered the pineapple upside-down cheesecake."

"I wish you wouldn't do that, miss."

"Do what?"

"You're purposefully lying to confuse me."

"I beg your pardon?"

"Miss, you ordered the triple chocolate brownie with French vanilla ice cream right after your friend here ordered the triple chocolate brownie with French vanilla ice cream. I distinctly remember it because I wrote it down here on my pad!"

"But I didn't..."

"Honey, if the waitress wrote it down on her pad, then you must have said it. Mmm, this is delicious!"

"Yes. YOU ordered the triple chocolate brownie with French vanilla ice cream. You never ordered the pineapple upside-down cheesecake because I never wrote down 'pineapple upside-down cheesecake' on my pad."

"But... but... maybe you wrote it down wrong?"

"Here's your check. After you pay and give me a sizable tip, I want you folks to promptly leave. Good evening."

"Swimming On The Meat Juice"

Below, a TripAdvisor review of Sir Walter Raleigh Restaurant, which is just down the road from my Mom and Dad's:

Can't tell if this writer was illiterate or was using English as a second language. And apparently the reviewer has never heard of "au jus." Either way, fantasticism!

Read the review here.

And this is impressive: if you Google search the phrase "swimming on the meat juice" in quotes, there is only ONE SEARCH RESULT.

Damn, I Missed the Previous Three.

Okay, I know EADJ doesn't do this Curlz MT bit anymore, but this flyer for the Fourth Annual Mental Health Film Festival had some other stuff going on besides that typeface, so try to ignore that...

• Two bucks sez the movie with the Agoraphobic Mom has a line like, "Take it easy, Mom!"
• "Working Like Crazy" wasn't the first choice for the filmmakers of a movie about mental health in the workplace; "Clocking In-SANE," "Obsessive Compulsive Disorderlies," and "Wack Job" were other contenders.
• Those stray stars bug me– they're kind of driving me nuts.

French Hat.

In honor of Brynn being back from vacation, here's a photo of her with a hat floating above her head:

J'Net Corrupts My Parents

At a restaurant named "Sir Walter Raleigh" in Greenbelt, Maryland, J'Net and my brother Jay describe something unspeakable- and not surprisingly, online- to my Mom and Dad.
