New EADJ Segment: Imagined Backstory

We're going to try something new today: "Imagined Backstory", where we find something out in the world and meticulously and meaninglessly create lore behind it.

Today we have a sign hanging on the shopping cart corral at the local Lowe's:

Who are these people? What's their story? Well, obviously, it's Nicole and Brandon from two towns over. You met them a few months ago at the East Orange Farmer's Market at their homemade honey tent, remember? Nicole sold you a jar of their "Raw Tupelo Honey" and invited you to a barbecue they were throwing after their boys were finished with baseball playoffs, and you ACCEPTED and gave them your number. So now Nicole has been texting and calling you for days wondering if you were going to make it Saturday and also bring your roommates although you don't remember mentioning them. Brandon has been gotten really good at smoking baby back ribs and of course WITH HONEY, LOL. Also, the barbecue is cocktail casual, so wear whatever, but know that the mayor is coming! Why won't you pick up?

(Tragically, they also resemble Lauren Boebert and Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio.)

More Memorable Lines From Movies I Haven't Watched

Kenan Thompson: (unfunnily) "I'm sorry, say what?"

"Oh Munchie. Are you up to your old tricks again?"

(translated from the French) "I have defeated you with my vulva. Now pick up your clothes and GO!"

"You tickle Benny? Benny cut your femoral artery!"

"Wha... what are you going to do with that rosin and bow, Sister Agatha?"

"This place needs a little more light in the living room. And ONE LESS GHOST in the bedroom."

This Week Of EADJ Entries Is Brought To You By The Foundation For A Better Life

Eat A Dick Joel is proud to announce a partnership with The Foundation For A Better Life in spreading positive, inspiring but unsolicited messages for people of all ages.

Values.com has been a successful, uplifting ad campaign that has introduced vague ideas of positiveness to confused TV watchers and commuters. Through public service announcements and outdoor billboards, The Foundation For A Better Life has promoted good, nonsectarian values to baffled, unexpecting people across the country.

This week, EADJ has volunteered to promote The Foundation For A Better Life by creating our own inspirational Values.com billboards. It is our hope that we too can help confuse thousands of people with cheery, unactionable messages.

Something I've Discovered About People

No matter where a fountain might be, whether it's in the dining area of a crappy deli, or in Trafalgar Square, or even in a display in a Lowe's Home Improvement Store, people will always want to throw their coins in it.

Always.

Let's Stick the EADJ Mail Sack With the Check When We Clearly Ordered More Food Than It Did!

Submitted by Andrew Gall, whose ad agency is on the same street as a bunch of hookers:

"Shots taken two consecutive days just outside my building."
