This Week In Hip Hop Awfulness

Oh look. Gorillaz are back!

Jesus. Who around here hasn't contaminated the crime scene?

"Excuse me, when you're finished soaking your nasty toes, can I wash my goddamn hands?"

I'm not sure if this is an old mixtape (see the rappers' names) or if this is a purposeful throwback with old mixtape design. Any guesses?

One of the fun things about big compilations like this is that you get to see how thrilled everyone is to be there.

A scarecrow for when you want to scare off fans of non-preachy rap.

The cashier at Wawa was not impressed.

Oh cool. A pharmaceutical sorority. I had a friend who joined one of those in college. She didn't rap, though.

His ancestors lay down some legendary farts.

R.I.P. Vern Troyer, who appeared in one of the illest rap videos.

The EADJ Facebook Defriender

Previous EADJ Defriender entries here.

I have a pretty high tolerance for people in real life, but on Facebook I do not suffer fools gladly. And I sure as hell don't suffer MAGA fools at all. That's why when R____ posted a response agreeing with this shitty, oversimplifying political meme, I had to cut the tether with her.

I mean, I could've tried to explain to her that gas prices were more connected to the DarkSide ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline that caused shortages of gasoline and panic buying on the East Coast of the U.S. or triggered by the lack of tank truck drivers to deliver the fuel, plus panic buying by travelers topping off their tanks, but have you ever debated a Trump supporter? Fuck that. Bye, R____.

R_____, your guy lost and is hopefully headed to jail! You'll miss him for sure, then. I won't miss either of youse.

What The Susan G. Komen Foundation Has Really Been Spending All That Money On

The Susan G. Komen Foundation For The Cure has come under fire for donating only 21% of their funds to actual breast cancer research. So where does the other 79% go? EADJ made up some statistics looked into it:

• 13%: Pink lightbulbs for the bathrooms

• 8%: Inflatable sumo suits for mid-day deathmatches

• 7%: TONER TONER TONER

• 29%: Scratch off tickets

• 4%: Mall chair massages

• 16%: Corporate account for Five Guys

• 3%: Trip to a titty bar (ironic!)

• 39%: Hiring someone to double check if all this totals 100%

Claudia Wells Update

Earlier this week (no, not the TITMAN entry) we reported the painful, disappointing saga of the personalized Claudia Wells-signed Save The Clock Tower flyer prop replica from "Back To The Future." And it turns out since she signed it "I LOVE YOU JOEL" instead of "EAT A DICK JOEL," Joel himself wants it. Okay. Fine.

"Magic?" Here's a little backstory for the uninitiated: Back in 2011, EADJ had this ambitious segment where we bought a Criss Angel Magic Kit and mailed it to Joel so that he could learn the tricks and perform them on video for us. He did like, one and was never heard from again. So this was a last attempt to get some Joel to perform some kind of illusion other than making my $19 disappear (something VERY similar to what Claudia Wells did to my $14!!!!!!!!!).

Marty McFly's Girlfriend Fails EADJ

Okay, this might be the dumbest EADJ entry you read today (unless you peruse our archives).

Since I am a huge "Star Wars" fan, it's not all that surprising that I am also a majorly huge "Back To The Future" fan. I can tell you the date Doc Brown invented time travel (November 5, 1955). I know that Marty McFly's band in the Battle of the Bands was named The Pinheads. And I know that when Marty crashed the Delorean into Old Man Peabody's barn, his kid pulled out a (fictional) "Tales From Space" comic book. So when it was brought to my attention that Claudia Wells, the actress who played Marty McFly's girlfriend in "Back To The Future" would sign the back of a "Save The Clock Tower" flyer with a personalized "I love you" and her (character's) phone number for a mere $12 plus shipping and handling, I was like, Great Scott!

I'm pretty sure I remember having a crush on Claudia Wells when I was a sophomore in high school. That's not half as creepy as a married man with a crush on her at 42. Shut up.

Now, when I ordered a Claudia Wells-signed flyer, I made *DAMN* sure to fill out the "Special request for autograph?' section. This is literally what I put:

So days later when that shit showed up on my doorstep, you know I was as excited as Griff Tannen (Biff's grandson) was when he had Marty cornered on the pond on the hoverboard in "BTTF 2."

By this time you must be wondering, well, did Claudia Wells from "Back To The Future" actually write EAT A DICK JOEL on a replica prop flyer for me? Did she? I flipped the flyer over.

Goddammit, Claudia! I gave you 14 bucks and CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS on what to write! "Oh, but Jennifer Parker wouldn't write something as off-color as 'Eat a dick, Joel'" she might argue. Well, I don't think a good girl like Jennifer Parker would sneak behind Marty's back and write "I love you" to any Tom, Biff or Harry who throws $14.50 at her, either.

You know what? Whatever. Claudia Wells may have disappointed this fan and this entire blog by not writing the most interesting thing ever on the back of a "Save The Clock Tower" flyer, but I will continue to be a fan of that movie regardless.

This whole experience sort of left a bad taste in my mouth. I almost want to a do-over. Like go back in time to last week when I found out about these flyers and warn myself not to pay the $14.50 to Claudia Wells so that she won't not write "EAT A DICK JOEL" on a stupid flyer that's not even the real flyer from the movie, etc etc etc.
