Are You Okay, Bed Bath & Beyond?

Facing impending bankruptcy, it appears that BB&B have resorted to selling thinly-disguised fuckpads.

Also, WHAT IS THIS, YOU PERVERTS?

EADJ Wishes You A Happy Independence Day

EADJ would like to wish all our American readers a happy July 4th. The idea of a country with the promise of expressing yourself freely, carving out a living for yourself and living without oppression lives on, and patriots continue to hold dear and fight for that idea.

(Ray can be spotted in the middle of the boat, btw lol)

Quite Possibly The Very Worst Comic Strip I've Ever Read

I was reading the comics section of The Washington Post and happened upon this bad boy:

Reply All, by Washington native Donna A. Lewis, is possibly the lamest, ugliest, least funny and most poorly designed strip I have ever had the misfortune to drag my precious eyeballs across. It looks like somebody converted some Cathy comic strips into Powerpoint clipart, sapped them of whatever tiny wit they had to begin with, and went butt nuts with the paint bucket tool.

*Sidenote: There are artists who actually use lame clipart for comic effect. This one simply cannot draw.

Take a look at the comic's official website. The first thing they punch you in the eye with is COMIC SANS. I defy you to go through her archives and find a single strip that's funny. Go ahead. I'll wait.

Am I being sexist because the author is a woman? I don't think so. Because I can name other brilliant female cartoonists: Lynda Barry, Lynn Johnston (For Better Or Worse), Jan Eliot (Stone Soup), The Pajama Diaries' Terri Libenson, Cathy Guisewite- okay, they're not all brilliant, but still. And in Topless Robot's "10 Newspaper Comic Strips That Need To Fucking End," the majority of those comic creators are men. So don't think you can get away with peddling crap just because you're a female, Donna, and just own up to the fact that your lazy eyesore digital scribblings aren't up to scratch.

Ziggy out.

Who Knew Dwarf Planets Had a Help Line?

Not really. It's an ingenious system that replaces those gunky, germy audio tour devices that tour groups used to use, now at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. Now you can use your cell phone to hear more info on stuff! Those rocket scientists are smart.

EADJ readers can now call from their own phone now to hear more about exhibits that they're not standing in front of!

I randomly punched in some codes and found these items:

5# Hubble Space Telescope backup mirror

21# Armillary Sphere

26# Infrared light

30# Uranus and Neptune missing from model

65# Lindsay Lohan's career path (chart and model)

My Mom Hates Talking Politics

Here my parents talk real estate, the Unabomber, and the Unabomber's brother. And being the evil shit that I am, I steer the conversation towards politics- which my mother hates- causing her to turn on the radio. Let's watch!

Racist Appliances

I got a flyer in the mail from my local power company last week. One page in it struck me:

Those appliances didn't look too happy to have minority guests over. So RACIST APPLIANCES was born:

The Magic of Camouflage

Over Christmas break, J'Net and I visited my parents' house in D.C.

But seeing how my parents had just gotten back from Manila some days before, added to the fact that both are retired, they just didn't have time to clean up. So Mom just threw a tablecloth over the boxes and random shit on the dining room table.

And you know what? J'Net and I were none the wiser!

Best Ad Ever. Of the Week.

Wow. So many reasons why this ad is awesome.

• The pun using Yiddish
• The shitty clipart with the inexplicable motion lines
• The bad collage-work resulting in George Washington with a purse around his neck
• The implication that Washington was late in crossing the Delaware and needed the help of a shitty packaging store in the Ukrainian Village
• The fact that I'm vaguely aroused
