The Consumer Electronics Show wrapped up last week in Las Vegas, and attendees were surprised by some of announcements, launches and developments. Here are the most surprising headlines from CES:

• Almost no announcements for wearable MP3 players this year

• Chik Fil-A's streaming service announcement overshadowed by MSKFC

• Samsung reveals its combination clothes-and-dish-washer

• A rabid coyote got loose and bit 14 people

• LG's new curved television allows you to enjoy 270º of Friends

Kickstarter's Funded and Failed Projects, 2021

The following Kickstarter campaigns were the most successful crowdfunding campaigns of 2021:

• GUUS: the cell phone for geese

• Reshoes: shoes made from recycled shoes

• Yeatstinguisher: a one-of-a-kind extinguisher that puts out fires with the poetry of William Butler Yeats

• Teeny-beerer: whimsical working party keg for teenagers

• Kickstarter Scam: the Board Game- simulates you screwing people over with bogus Kickstarter campaigns

The following Kickstarter campaigns were the least successful crowdfunding campaigns of 2021:

• The Asimov Foundation: sci-fi makeup that makes your skin resemble that of the legendary Isaac Asimov

• Cumbucha

• Leafbeaters: vegan tank tops

• Remote controlled toupee

Hell Oh Hell

If there's anything that people type online that makes them sound like a blithering idiot, it's "LOL." Now, we understand it's a nice, shorthand way to express that you "laughed out loud," but it's come into such overuse by morons on Facebook and YouTube over the smallest, dumbest things, that you're better off just typing "hahaha" or "hey, that was really funny."


So we did a little experiment. We took some sage quotes from some history's greatest thinkers and added "lol" at the end to see if they sounded any dumber:
