EADJ Has Finally Narrowed Down The Possible Answers To The Question "Who Put the Bomp (in the Bomp, Bomp, Bomp)" From The 1961 Song
After decades of expensive research and on-site interviews, EADJ has narrowed the list of suspects from Barry Mann's one hit doo-wop song "Who Put the Bomp (in the Bomp, Bomp, Bomp)" where he wonders aloud who wrote the song that made his baby fall in love with him.
We've narrowed it down to 8 suspects:
1) a 48 year old Richard Nixon
2) Casey Kasem
3) a railroad hopping hobo
4) Jesus of Nazareth
5) Italian horror filmmakers Mario Bava, Riccardo Freda, and Antonio Margheriti
6) 1960 Summer Olympics Sailing Gold medalist David Smith
7) D.B. Cooper
8) in the song they say it's a man, but it could've been Julia Child

The EADJ Pun Police: Parliamentary Sergeant At Arms Edition
*gavel is struck*
The 45th Pun Society Society will now come to order. The honorable Judge Joel Thomas presiding. Secretary of Treasury Kinshasa Malou in attendance. And Acting Sergeant Of Arms William Toriff standing in for Greg Brisbane, who was injured in a parasailing incident last week.
First order of business: an item submitted by Tom Weingard:
I'm sorry, Councilman Hardy, I know it is awful but you do not have the floor. Speaker Randagall has made a motion to incinerate this ad in an oil drum. All in favor? The ayes have it.
*gavel is struck*
Our second item comes from a newsletter from Midtown Comics:
Yes, Speaker Gurhy, I understand how terrible this pun is. That is why the committee is acting upon it now. And Speaker Erhardnt, please do not have sidebar discussions while a motion is active. I will have no choice but to issue you two demerits.
Item three is a bus side advertisement.
For those of you in the back of the chamber, the tagline for this ad for The Rachel Zoe Show reads "Fashion From Head To Zoe." All in favor of driving the bus into the nearby rock quarry and setting off dynamite to bury it forever? The ayes have it. Here are the keys, Marshall Stonebridge.
Item four is a souvenir t-shirt from the Czech Republic:
Oh, we cannot vote on any items that are presented sideways? Damn.
Item five comes to us from a mall in New Jersey:
*gavel is struck*
Ladies, and gentlemen, I do realize that many of you are growing restless as this meeting has gone longer than anticipated, but I assure you that this is almost the end. Those of you who remain standing will be ejected and barred from attending the next three meetings. That includes you, Speaker Harrimann.
Ahem. Item six.
All in favor of ignoring? Ayes, 48. Nays 12.
Item seven, spotted on Flickr:
*gavel is struck many times*
Order! Order! I will have order here, people! Yes, I know it doesn't make any sense. No, I don't know if that's supposed to be Leonard Nimoy or Zachary Quinto- you have to present that question to the committee as a... EVERYBODY, STOP PUSHING FOR THE EXITS!
*loses gavel, starts crying*

Bathroom Maniac
Spotted in the Barnes and Noble (yes, they're still around) in Elizabeth, NJ, someone snuck some unpaid Legos into a bathroom stall and went to town:

Whee!

Wow, it's been a long time, Pewter Bear. And you've arrived just in time to be the voice of reason...no, wait. Scratch that. Not the voice of reason- the voice of bitchy-ass contrary pussy shit. Christ, did anybody ASK your opinion? Because we sure the fuck didn't. There aren't enough fucking fists in the world that could pound your miserable face enough. Do you understand how much we hate you yet?

Oh, you haven't SEEN hostile yet, bitch. Stay right here, let me get my gun...

EADJ's "Blackberry Face" Series Grows
It is with great pleasure that EADJ announces a fourth addition to the fine art photography showcased in its East Wing, namely its "Blackberry Face" series.
"Sam" joins "Maggie," "Frank," and "Tony" to become the second minority and the first African American work in the permanent collection.

A refreshing departure from the interior locale of a commuter train, "Sam" opens up a whole new world with sidewalks, signage and even other people in the background. Also, the skewed composition of the shot breaks from the formal portraiture format to become more accessible and approachable to the viewer. A tension between secrecy and openness is apparent for the first time, breathing new vitality into the series and redefining what a "Blackberry Face" can be.

The gallery, anticipating a new rush of viewers, will now be open early at 8am Mon-Thurs, (excluding holidays) at the Kunst Room at the McGrath/Jensen Library. Visitors are invited to see the series in its chronological order, although the gallery space does allow for roaming.
