Pewabic Pottery

Hello from Michigan! We are Pewabic Pottery, Michigan's only historic pottery, founded in 1903 at the height of the Arts & Crafts Movement and now a National Historic Landmark.

For over a century, Pewabic artisans, or "Pewbs," have worked tirelessly to craft our now famous Pewabic pottery. The number of Pewbs grew exponentially in the 1970's, although in recent years the numbers have been shaved a lot due to Brazilian influences.

Our Pewabic studio offers adult education workshops, where people from all over can probe, scratch and bury their face in Pewabic designs. One of our instructors, Ginger, has become quite popular in showing her reddish Pewabic materials. Many students have even commented on the workspace itself, remarking how well our carpet matches our drapes.

So drop by sometime to see and touch our Pewabic treasures. Our building is located in the crotch of Cadillac Blvd and Jefferson Avenue, near the "Y." Look for the building on the raised part of the street, or the "Pewabic Mound."

Spotted Outside Detroit

Precision Slitting Service in Romulus, Michigan.

From some website:
Precision Slitting Svc is a private company categorized under "Metal Slitting and Shearing" and located in Romulus, MI. It was established in 1961 and incorporated in Michigan. Current estimates show this company has an annual revenue of $10 to 20 million and employs a staff of approximately 20 to 49. Four guys do the shearing, while another six do the slitting. All of the slitting is done on site, although one time an employee (probably Hank) did some extra slitting at home because he was drunk. The slitting is monitored carefully by a slitting robot named Carol who the boys have snarkily outfitted in short shorts and an Aerosmith tshirt. The shirt is from the "Get Your Wings" tour.

Hellooooo Mobius!

This EADJ reporter was lucky to have spotted another Mobius Award outside of the CK reception area. This was at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, Michigan!

And not only that, but 2 other random awards were recognized nearby! Like what the hell are these things?!

When she heard the news, Jessica checked the CK reception area in a panic to make sure the Henry Ford Museum hadn't somehow pinched the trophies from Cramer-Krasselt. Yep, they're still there! Whew!

BONUS FUN FACT: The average Mobius award weighs .76 lbs! That's 1/4 the weight of Jessica!
